rtcetc privacy policy
Effective date: 4 November 2026. Contact: the rtcetc Discord server, https://discord.gg/t92QwxZ4H.
The short version: rtcetc keeps your collection on your phone. We do not run accounts, we do not collect personal data, and we do not use analytics or ads. Optional support links in Settings (email, Discord, subreddit) open outside the app only when you tap them.
What stays on your phone
Your collection, lists, decks, tags, scan history, settings and saved card pictures are stored only on your device. Camera frames are processed on your device to read card text and are never saved or sent anywhere. When you scan a binder page, the photo is read on your device and deleted when reading is finished. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted. Importing reads only the text you paste into the app; nothing is uploaded. Exports are created only when you choose Export and are shared only to the place you pick.
What the app downloads
- Card data and prices: downloaded from the project's data host, which runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare R2 and Cloudflare Workers, at rtcetc-data.rtcetc-data-worker.workers.dev). The request contains only the file name and the usual technical details of any web request (your IP address, app and system version), and Cloudflare, which runs the host, may process it under its own policy. We do not link requests to a person and do not keep a user profile.
- App updates: the app may check Expo's update service (u.expo.dev) for newer versions of its own program code. That request carries the usual technical details of a web request and the app version, and no collection data.
- Card pictures: loaded from Scryfall (cards.scryfall.io) as you browse. Scryfall receives the usual technical details of a web request and has its own policy at scryfall.com.
Permissions
- Camera: to scan cards and binder pages. Nothing else.
Children
rtcetc is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.
Changes
If this ever changes, for example if crash reporting is added, this page and the store privacy answers will be updated before the release that includes it.
